Hi guys, I just wanted to take a few minutes and give everyone an update. As it has been, business is going great! Planes are selling, some so much so that I have had to temp. put them "out of stock". I don't like to run long lead times, so if I cannot get a plane to someone in the 2-3 week timeframe I'd rather just take it out of stock. If there is a plane that's a regular "stocked" item but it shows that it's out of stock, you're welcome to email me to see when they will be available. My demo planes have pretty much been moving out as I post them and I'm almost completely done with them, so if there is one that you want, get it now. A few people have asked me if I regularly will keep them "in stock", the answer is no. Demos are planes that I will make during a class as an example, or that students will use during a class to learn with, or they may be ones that I have used for a "demo" or "show". I had intentions of cleaning them up and selling them as new, but with the way business has been there simply is no time. With small shop spaces, it's easy to get overwhelmed so I decided a couple of months ago to sell them at a discount in their used state. I am down to maybe two or three and then they'll be gone. I may have one or two every six months to sell after this, so don't hold your breath! I do, however, like to give discounts to folks in uniform, past or present so keep that in mind if you're military, retired military, police, fire, etc. We also offer discounts to woodworking clubs who buy planes or kits for classes in "bulk"(meaning more than 3). There's a club in the Eastern US who has purchased 10-12 planes and kits from me. Lastly, the Improved Mitre Planes have been selling like crazy and I will only offer the intro pricing on the last few that I have, so if you want one, get it now. All of my planes have top-notch workmanship in them, but these are in a class of their own. The attention to detail is so much so that the price has to reflect it or I'll be going the way of so many small boutique makers. I have some great questions to get to ASAP, so keep watching for more!
