Hi Everyone! I wanted to take a few minutes and give an update as to what's been going on. Just like last time I made a blog entry, sales are going great! Planes are being bought, made, and shipped daily(as I've had time between other life happenings). Things have been so crazy that I have honestly forgot to update my site like I should be, which means that I didn't remove the intro pricing on a lot of tools! No worries, I'm happy to sell the ones that were bought at the time for the low prices, but just so everyone knows, every plane and kit price will be going up at the end of this week. If you were planning on ordering in the future, don't sweat it, the prices aren't going up too much. You will still be able to buy an heirloom quality tool from me for a price that the average woodworker can afford. My name is starting to get out there, and with a few publications and people covering my tools, things are going to keep growing, however, I don't ever see myself having to charge thousands of dollars to justify my work or time. I am also happy to announce that my planes will be featured in a few reviews online. I will be posting some customer reviews as well, 2 of which own many other infills by modern makers. Both have reported back to me that not only did my planes beat them in function and level of craftsmanship, but they are less than 1/4 of the price! I have a ton of respect for tool makers doing similar things to me and this was a huge honor. A few other notes, my veneer saw has been a huge hit. I just sold the 50th saw and I'm hoping folks out there see that this could be the new way we look at veneer saws, which have been relatively unchanged for 2 centuries. I'm trying to keep up with orders on all of the things I make, but as orders come in I have to accept that this could be a beautiful monster. I try to keep my backlog of work with a maximum wait of 14 days, but if things keep going this way, 21 days may become more realistic. As always, if you order something from me, I send you an email with time expectations and will stay in touch throughout the process. Lastly, I just invested in a nice camera to re-do the pictures on my site. I have been doing the best I can with what I had, but I am truly excited to be able to show off details of my tools even better. I will be changing pictures as I have time. I have received lots of emails from folks asking questions about my tools. I love to answer them and talk shop, so don't hesitate to contact me!
